Daily Maintenance Instructions for Dual-screw Extruder Barrel

The dual-screw extruder adopts helical gear or hard-tooth surface gear reducer, which has stable transmission, long sound and long service life. The shaft seal has advanced structure and good sealing effect. The vacuum box balance structure is specially designed to ensure no black material wear.


Ⅰ. Daily maintenance of dual-screw extruder barrel:


1. When parking for a long time, the machine should have anti-rust and anti-fouling measures.


2. When opening the barrel cover or the air extraction cover, be careful to prevent foreign objects from falling into the host.


3. Check the wear of the dual-screw extruder barrel and screw, gear box, bearing and oil seal.


4. The screw of the dual-screw extruder is only allowed to start at low speed, and the idling time does not exceed three minutes.


5. After the new machine is run-in, all gear boxes should be replaced with new oil, and then the lubricating oil should be replaced after the operation time is too long. After that, the oil quality should be tested in the necessary maintenance and replaced if necessary.


6. The barrel of the dual-screw extruder should have sufficient preheating and heating time, and the manual cranking should be brisk before starting the dual-screw extruder. Generally, the temperature should be kept constant for two hours after reaching the process set temperature.


7. When the main motor is a DC motor, check the carbon brush of the motor every month, make a record, and replace it in time if necessary.


8. Sundries are not allowed in the material, and hard objects such as metal and sand are strictly prohibited from entering the hopper and dual-screw extruder.


9. Detection content: lubrication condition and oil level condition of each lubricating part, temperature rise and noise of the bearing of each rotating part, vibration condition of the unit; current and voltage display of the motor; temperature and pressure display of lubricating oil and cooling water and their pipes road leaks.


Ⅱ. Barrel structure of twin-screw extruder:


The barrel of the twin-screw extruder is made of steel with an alloy sleeve, and the barrel is cooled by water. There are feeding cylinders, vacuuming cylinders, extruding cylinders, the other cylinders are closed cylinders, and there is a stainless steel cylinder protective cover outside the cylinder.
