Double screw extruder is a machine that can concentrate a series of basic chemical unit processes, such as solid conveying, pressurization, melting, exhaust, dehumidification, molten material conveying, and pumping, on the screw inside the extruder for operation. Daily maintenance of double screw extruders


  • After 500 hours of use, iron filings or other impurities may have been ground off the gears in the speed reducer. Therefore, the gears should be cleaned and the speed reducer lubricant should be replaced.

  • After a period of use, a comprehensive check of the extruder should be carried out, inspecting the tightness of all screws.

  • If there is a sudden power failure during production, causing the main drive and heating to stop, when power is restored, each section of the barrel must be reheated to the specified temperature and insulated for a period of time before starting the extruder.

  • If the instrument or pointer shows full scale, check whether the contact of the thermocouple wire and other wires is good.

  • Specific torque refers to the torque force of the screw on the material per cubic centimeter. With higher specific torque, the material has higher filling in the screw and the average shear force will decrease.
