What Are the Specific Precautions for Using a Twin-screw Extruder?

The twin screw extruder is developed on the basis of the single screw extruder. Due to its good feeding performance, mixing and plasticizing performance, exhaust performance, extrusion stability and other characteristics, it has been widely used in the molding of extrusion products. 1. The main motor and the oil pump motor of the twin screw extruder are electrically interlocked. That is, if the oil pump motor does not start, the main motor cannot start. And if the main motor does not stop, the oil pump motor cannot stop.


2. When the head pressure of the twin screw extruder exceeds the set alarm value, the material pressure alarm signal light will be on and the machine will stop automatically.


3. The main motor and the feeding motor of the twin screw extruder are electrically interlocked. That is, if the main motor does not start, the feeding motor cannot start. And if the main motor of the feeding motor does not stop, the main motor cannot stop. The main motor control cabinet has overcurrent protection, which has been set before leaving the factory.


4. The screw of the twin screw extruder is driven by an AC motor with AC speed regulation or a DC motor with DC speed regulation. The deceleration and twin screw drive are in the same box, and the overall size is compact. It uses a safety coupling equipped with a shear pin, which can protect the screw and transmission box from damage due to overloading.


5. Pay attention to the temperature change of the twin screw extruder all the time. When the sliver is not sticky to clean hands, it should heat up immediately. It is abinormal until the sliver sticks to the hand.


6. When the bearing part of the reducer of the twin screw extruder burns hands or is accompanied by noise, it should be repaired in time and refueled.


7. When the bearing parts at both ends of the bearing chamber of the main engine of the twin screw extruder are hot or noisy, stop the machine for maintenance and add butter. During normal operation, the bearing chamber should be greased every 5-6 days.


8. Pay attention to find out the operation rules of the twin screw extruder, such as: the temperature of the machine and the speed of the rotation speed, which can be dealt with in time according to the situation.


9. When the machine body of the twin screw extruder is unstable, you should pay attention to check whether the gap between the couplings is too tight or not, and adjust it in time.
